One standard For all kitchens.
KtchnQualified (KQ) is a certificate program that aims to standardize training for people who work in professional kitchens. It begins with three courses, the KtchnQualified Course, KQ II, and KQ III, and offers individual certificates for each course in a vertical stack.
WHO IS KQ FOR?
It’s simple. Our program is for people who work in professional kitchens.
This includes culinary students and foodservice professionals in a variety of hospitality and institutional settings, including restaurants, hotels, school districts, and correctional facilities.
Because universal standards serve everyone, no matter where you work.
HOW DOES KQ WORK?
Our program begins with three courses, the KtchnQualified Course, KQ II, and KQ III, and offers individual certificates for each course in a vertical stack.
We are currently scheduling delivery of the KtchnQualified Course to school foodservice programs across the US. Looking ahead, we will expand this course to the broader foodservice industry, including culinary students, restaurants, hotels, and correctional facilities.
KQ II and KQ III are currently in development.
Right now, all courses take place at our partners' facilities, however, we plan to open dedicated KQ kitchen spaces in the future to administer the program. Stay tuned!
WHO ARE WE?
KQ is a product designed, developed, and offered by Brigaid.
Brigaid is a coast-to-coast network of 80+ professional chefs who help institutional foodservice programs thrive. We work with existing kitchen teams to facilitate more scratch cooking, lead menu and recipe development, and enhance operational efficiency. Our chefs provide on-the-ground, individualized support through three core services: program assessments, staff training, and chef placements.
We work with programs of all types and sizes throughout the US and currently operate 40 partnerships across eight states. To date, our partners have included public schools, organizations serving older adults, prisons, and nonprofits.
Our CEO, Dan Giusti, founded Brigaid in 2016 after a storied career in the fine dining industry.
